REIGNS SURVIVES KNIGHT'S CHALLENGE TO RETAIN WWE TITLE
The World Heavyweight Championship clash opened Saturday's Premium Live Event (PLE) in New Orleans, with Knight determined to finally capture his first WWE world title. Both superstars delivered a fiercely contested encounter, repeatedly coming within seconds of victory.
Reigns nearly finished Knight with his trademark 'Superman Punch', but the challenger responded with a spectacular superplex followed by a Burning Hammer. Neither combination could keep his opponent down. The intensity increased when Knight countered Reigns' spear with his devastating BFT finisher, only for the champion to kick out.
The champion eventually turned things around, catching Knight on the top rope before delivering two Superman Punches and a decisive spear to secure the victory. It was another heartbreaking setback for Knight, whose pursuit of WWE's biggest prize continues.
BLOODLINE AND 946 SPARK WILD BRAWL BEFORE DRAMATIC SUV ESCAPE
Reigns barely had time to celebrate before another explosive confrontation unfolded. Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of 946 appeared in the crowd, confronting the champion and signaling that his reign could be under threat. But The Bloodline was ready.
Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa suddenly emerged behind the trio, resulting in a full blown fight that went way past the ring area. The fight even went through the whole arena as trash cans were reportedly used as weapons as both factions exchanged blows.
Just when the chaos appeared unstoppable, Jaida Parker arrived outside in an SUV, providing Keys, Nima and Price with a perfectly timed escape.
While Reigns left New Orleans with his championship intact, the escalating animosity between The Bloodline and 946 ensured that WWE's latest chapter was far from over.
