NFL star Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo welcome second child, a boy – name and birthdate revealed!

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey have big news to share. The couple on Saturday (Oct. 10) announced in a joint social media post that they had welcomed their second child, a boy, on September 29. "Roman Augustus McCaffrey," Culpo, a model and actress, captioned the post, revealing the newborn's name. "Heart is exploding," the new mom added in an Instagram Stories post.

Culpo also put a series of pictures, featuring McCaffrey, an NFL star, alongside her Instagram post. In the pictures, the couple could be seen holding their son at the hospital, with their 14-month-old daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, also present. Another photo showed Culpo standing in a garden as she held Roman while Colette stood by her side.

Couple announced news in May

Culpo and McCaffrey had announced the news of their second pregnancy on Culpo’s 34th birthday in May. "Best birthday gift. Baby #2 coming soon," she captioned an Instagram post at the time. The pair later posted a video showing the moment they found out Culpo was pregnant and how they shared the happy news with their families.

The same month, Culpo said via TikTok that she was "so fortunate to be able to bring another child into the world." She added: "Few things that have been running through my mind, cause I just really didn’t plan on this at all."

Colette was born in July 2025

The couple had announced the birth of their first child in an Instagram post in July last year. In a post on Instagram Stories shortly after, Culpo had described childbirth as "the scariest and most rewarding of all experiences."

How did Culpo and CMC meet?

Culpo and McCaffery met on a blind date in 2019, and tied the knot in 2024. Culpo, born in Rhode Island, is a model, influencer, and former pageant queen. A former Miss Rhode Island, she was crowned Miss USA at the age of 20 at a ceremony held in Las Vegas in 2012.

In December the same year, she won Miss Universe, ending a 15-year title draught for the United States.

McCaffrey, also widely known as CMC, is an NFL running back who starred at Stanford before the Carolina Panthers selected him eighth overall in first round of the 2017 draft. He was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in October 2022. McCaffrey's breakout year was 2019, when he ran for 1,387 yards and recorded 15 touchdowns.
