Tyreek Hill’s estranged wife, Lakeeta Vaccaro, broke down in tears as she opened up about their troubled marriage as the former couple’s trial got underway on Tuesday (October 6) in Miami. Taking the stand on the first day, Vaccaro detailed allegations of physical assault and verbal abuse involving the NFL star, giving a heartbreaking account of what happened behind closed doors. She also recalled Hill telling her, "I don’t want the baby," while allegedly taking a swing at her stomach, during her pregnancy, which she somehow managed to block with her hands.

The testimony comes at a significant moment for the free-agent wide receiver, who has recently been linked with a possible return to the Kansas City Chiefs, his former team, according to the New York Post. She is suing Hill for punitive and compensatory damages as part of divorce proceedings. Hill has previously denied allegations of domestic violence, making the proceedings closely watched as both sides present their cases.

'I DON’T WANT THE BABY’

One of Vaccaro’s most serious allegations related to an incident in July 2024, when she was pregnant. Vaccaro testified that Hill attempted to punch her in the stomach. She said she instinctively put her hands over her stomach to protect the baby, and the alleged strike instead made contact with her hands.

Vaccaro further testified that Hill told her he 'didn't want the baby' during the confrontation. During the livestream, she described that day as 'probably the worst of all these abuse times' and also alleged that Hill pulled her hair and ripped some of it out.

"It was probably the worst of all these abuse times just because he grabbed my hair, ripped it out, throwing all my things. And obviously I was vulnerable; I was pregnant, and he treated me like I was like a man," Lakeeta said.

The allegations were part of a broader account of what Vaccaro says she experienced during their marriage. She also testified about arguments surrounding a postnuptial agreement. Vaccaro alleged that during one dispute, Hill tried to grab her ring and necklace, pushed her onto a bed and put his hands around her neck.

Vaccaro and Hill married in November 2023 after previously becoming engaged in 2021, breaking off the engagement and later reconciling. Her complaint alleges eight instances of abuse.

TYREEK HILL DENIES ABUSE ALLEGATIONS

Hill’s legal team has objected strongly against Vaccaro’s account. His attorney, Christi Bright, argued that law enforcement officers responded to marital disputes did not find physical evidence that resulted in an arrest.

Bright also pointed to Vaccaro’s initial divorce petition, saying it did not contain domestic violence allegations. According to Hill’s defense, those accusations were raised later in an amended petition. Vaccaro’s lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.

The civil proceedings arrive as Hill’s football future is also drawing attention. According to the New York Post, Hill has been linked with several NFL teams, who are in need of wide receiver, including the San Francisco 49ers and his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. Hill, who most recently played for the Miami Dolphins, entered the 2026 season as a free agent.

Meanwhile, Yahoo Sports reported that the NFL continues to investigate Hill under its Personal Conduct Policy in connection with Vaccaro’s allegations. Hill’s disciplinary history could further complicate his NFL return. His 2015 guilty plea in a domestic assault case could result in an enhanced suspension if NFL determines that he violated its Personal Conduct Policy in connection with Vaccaro’s allegations.

Hill, who has denied the allegations, was present in the courtroom as the trial began. The proceedings are expected to resume on Wednesday, October 7.
