Pete Davidson has taken his North Salem home off the market after reducing the asking price multiple times. The property records indicate that the comedian unlisted the house on August 13, 2026. He initially put the house on the market in February with an asking price of $2.5 million. The price eventually fell to $1.89 million, which is below the $1.95 million that he paid for it in 2023. It is not known whether the comedian intends to keep the home or relist it for sale at a later time. Davidson unlisted the house for sale following his separation from Hewitt and their shared custody of their daughter.

Why did Pete Davidson remove the North Salem home from the market?

The house in North Salem has been removed from the market after months of steadily lowering the asking price. Davidson explained that he wanted to move to Staten Island, New York, so that he could be closer to his family.

The house was officially taken down from the market on August 13, according to a report, which came shortly after Davidson and Hewitt came to an agreement about their daughter, Scottie Rose.

The couple announced on July 31 that they would share custody of their child. They added that their daughter's well-being was their top priority, and that they would both do whatever it takes to ensure that she receives the love and attention of both of her parents.

It is still unclear if Davidson and Hewitt's shared custody of their daughter has any bearing on the comedian's decision to take the house off the market. The only certain thing is that both things happened around the same time.

How much did the comedian pay for the house, and what was its asking price?

Davidson purchased the North Salem house for approximately $1.95 million. He initially listed it for $2.5 million in June 2023. He put the house on the market in February 2026 with the intention of moving closer to his family.

The asking price for the house fluctuated throughout the time that it was on the market:

  • February 2026: The house went on the market for $2.5 million.
  • A few weeks later: The asking price was lowered to $2.27 million.
  • April 2026: The asking price was lowered again, to $2.15 million.
  • After the reports of his separation from Hewitt: The asking price was lowered once more to $1.89 million.
  • August 13, 2026: The house was taken off the market.
The asking price for the house was $60,000 less than the purchase price that Davidson made in 2023. This number does not indicate how much money he would have made on the sale, because the house was not sold during this listing period.

North Salem home

The North Salem house is located in a residential area of Westchester County, New York. The house is surrounded by six acres of land and is located at the end of a long, gated driveway. Davidson has referred to the house as his "getaway" from the hustle and bustle of New York City.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom house was built in the 1930s and is approximately 2,300 square feet. Davidson has kept many of the original fixtures in the house while also adding some extra touches for his own enjoyment.

The house includes:

  • A guesthouse and screened porches
  • A movie/media room and a gym
  • A swimming pool and a year-round lap pool
  • A hot tub, a sauna, and a cold-plunge pool
  • A wine cellar and several decks
  • A big fish tank that Mr. Davidson installed
  • A secret speakeasy that is hidden behind a sliding wall
The house has vaulted ceilings, pine flooring, custom lighting, and custom windows that allow plenty of natural light to enter the home. The main living area has a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. The dining room overlooks the water and opens up to two decks.

The kitchen has custom backlit cabinets, granite and stainless-steel countertops, and high-end appliances. The first floor has the master bedroom suite, which opens up to a private, terraced garden. The other two bedrooms on the first floor include one with a loft-style sleeping area.

Davidson said that he preferred to live in older houses rather than in new ones that all look the same. He added that he had modified the North Salem house to his tastes, while still leaving the old parts of the house intact.
