Pat Boone is selling his Beverly Hills estate for $22 million after owning the property for 66 years.

Pat Boone has listed his Beverly Hills estate for $22 million in June this year after owning the property for more than six decades, a Mansion Global report said. The singer purchased the house with his late wife Shirley Boone in 1960 for $159,000. The property is located in Beverly Hills, California at the corner of Beverly Drive and Sunset Boulevard. The property was built in 1939. It also has a total covered area of 7,032 square feet. Many musicians, actors and other Hollywood celebrities have spent time at the property.

Pat Boone's Beverly Hills estate

Pat Boone and his late wife Shirley bought the property in Beverly Hills in 1960. They both were building their careers at the time. Pat was appearing on his own show called The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom. They had four young daughters and therefore wanted a large house.

Pat Boone said that the property was not his first choice due to it being located at the corner of Beverly Drive and Sunset Boulevard. However, the size of the plot, number of bedrooms and bathrooms and amount of space for the kids made him buy the property. Boone and Shirley owned the estate for 66 years. After Shirley passed away in 2019, Pat has decided to sell the property.

The asking price of the property is around 138 times of what the couple paid in 1960. The property has been listed by Lea Porter from The Beverly Hills Estates.

Pat said that Elvis visited the property while he was having a relaxing Sunday afternoon with his family in the swimming pool. "We're in the pool on a Sunday afternoon and all of a sudden Elvis walks in with one of his friends," Pat told Mansion Global.

Actor Gregory Peck also visited the property. He had a fundraiser in the garden. Pat also had Bible study sessions in the house with people from Hollywood. Actor Zsa Zsa Gabor also visited the property.

Why did Pat Boone buy the property?

Pat and his wife grew up in Tennessee and wanted a large garden with plenty of grass. "I like grass, I like open spaces. I don't like concrete. It feels like Tennessee," Pat said.

Although the property is located near a busy junction and down the road from the Beverly Hills Hotel, the high hedges around the property help to minimize the noise. "People would think it would be noisy but it's actually a lot quieter than you would think. You can't hear any of the traffic," Pat said.
