What’s the difference
The Frosted Cranberry one combines the lemon-lime soda with orange and cranberry flavors. It also comes with cold foam and cranberry sprinkles, adding a creamy topping to the fizzy drink.Meanwhile, the Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer uses a similar cranberry-and-orange flavor combination. But it swaps Sprite with Red Bull. Customers can choose classic Red Bull or Red Bull Zero. It also features cold foam and cranberry sprinkles.
What’s different about the three cookie butter coffees?
McDonald’s is also adding cookie butter flavor to three McCafé drinks: a Frappé, a latte and an iced coffee. The company describes the lineup as a creamy blend of cookie butter flavor topped with caramel cookie crumbs and sweet vanilla whip. The Cookie Butter Frappé is the blended option, while the latte and iced coffee offer coffee-based alternatives in different formats. All three share the cookie butter theme, but customers can choose between a frozen drink, a hot coffee or a cold coffee.
Allrecipes tried the five beverages before their official launch. As per the publication’s description, the Sprite-based cranberry drink is sweet and reminiscent of Sprite’s Spiced Cranberry soda. The Red Bull version tasted less sweet than the reviewer expected.
Among the cookie butter options, Allrecipes praised the latte’s warm spice and caramel notes and named it its favorite McDonald’s coffee. The reviewer compared the Frappé to a cookie butter coffee milkshake.
