The company was founded by Brennan Erbz, Stafford Schlitt and Ammar Amdani. They began working on the company earlier this year. It is backed by investors including SV Angel, Valar Ventures and American Spirit, reported Tech Crunch.
How does Tab work?
Tab is designed to work through messaging platforms that people already use. It includes platforms like WhatsApp and iMessage. Users can send a message explaining what they need. The AI assistant then attempts to complete the task on their behalf.A user can ask Tab to order groceries, find a birthday present or even make a reservation. It not only provides instructions or links, instead, it is designed to carry out the requested task.
Interestingly, it has its own phone number, computer and digital wallet. This allows Tab to interact with websites, make phone calls and handle transactions rather than just respond to questions.
TechCruch reported that it can also help with calls that people often put off, such as contacting businesses to make arrangements. The founders believe the service can save users' time by taking care of routine personal and administrative work.

Why does Tab have its own wallet?
It is an important part of the company's approach. Tab aims to take the process further by helping complete transactions. Notably, giving an AI system the ability to make purchases could raise questions about security. Amdani told TechCrunch the Tab is designed with user trust in mind. He also said that it will not carry out actions that can be undone without the user's approval.ALSO READ: Meet Kevin Corey, the high school business teacher who started a wipes brand with $14,000; by 2025, it was generating $3.8 million
Who has invested in the startup?
According to the report, Tab's reported $300 million valuation places it among the new consumer AI startups attracting investor interest. It has not revealed the exact amount raised.Notably, the company is building its user base largely through word of mouth, Amdani told TechCrunch. He has also said that the company planned to introduce another product.
