How SBI customers can download Form-16A, interest certificate via Net banking

An interest certificate will tell you how much interest you have earned on your savings accounts and fixed deposits with a bank during the financial year 2022-23. A State Bank of India (SBI) customer can get their interest certificate either by visiting his/her bank branch or by downloading the same from the Net banking facility offered by the bank

Apart from interest certificate, if tax has been deducted on the interest paid/accrued on your fixed deposit investment for the financial year 2022-23, then you will have to get Form-16A from your bank. Form -16A is a TDS (tax deducted at source) certificate that contains details of the total interest paid/accrued to you and tax deducted on it during a particular financial year

How SBI customers can download Form-16A TDS certificate

Follow the steps below to download the TDS certificate using SBI's Net banking facility:
Step 1: Log in to your account by visiting onlinesbi.com.
Step 2: Select the 'My certificates' option under the 'e-services' tab.

Step 3: On the new webpage, select the option 'Download Form 16A'.

Step 4: The screen will show you the customer number and customer name. Select the financial year i.e., FY 2022-23 and quarter. If you do not know the quarter, select each to check and download your TDS certificates. Click on 'Submit'.

Step 5: On the new webpage opened, you will get three options - a) Download Form 16A, b) Upload on DigiLocker and c) Cancel. Click on the option on (a). If Form 16A is available for that particular year, then it will be downloaded on your system or else the screen will show Form 16A is not available for that particular financial year and quarter. Repeat the process from step 2 again to check and download for other quarters.

How SBI customers can download interest certificates
Step 1: Once logged in to your account, click on 'My Certificates' under the 'e-Services' tab.
Step 2: Select 'Interest Certificate on Deposit A/Cs'.

Step 3: You will be required to select the financial year 2022-23. Click on submit.

The web screen will show you the interest paid to your savings and fixed deposit bank accounts in a particular financial year. Click on 'View/Download in PDF' to download the certificates.
