SBI Card revises fee from November 1, 2025: Full list of new charges on transactions, payments, and replacements
SBI Card will implement new fees from November 1, 2025. The new charges will apply to select transactions such as education-related payments and wallet loads, as outlined in SBI Card’s.

Cardholders should always review the updated fee structure carefully to avoid any unexpected deductions and to ensure timely payments to maintain a healthy credit record.
SBI Card’s fee for education payments via third-party apps
SBI Card said that a 1% of the transaction amount will now be applicable on education payments made through third-party apps like CRED, Cheq, and MobiKwik.However, SBI Card has clarified that payments made directly to schools, colleges, or universities either through its official websites or on-site POS machines will not attract this fee.

SBI Card’s fee on wallet load transactions of above Rs 1,000
SBI Card says that a 1% of the transaction amount will be charged on every wallet load transaction exceeding Rs 1,000. This applies to transactions identified under select merchant codes.Fee on education payments will be applicable to third-party merchants identified under Merchant Category Code (MCC) 8211, 8220, 8241, 8244, 8249, 8299, SBI Card said in the statement.
The SBI Card notifications stated, “Identified under Merchant Category Code (MCC) 6540 and 6541, on the best effort basis, the MCCs are defined by the network partners and are subject to change at their discretion. Such changes will be implemented based on communication from the networks without any requirement for intimation or information to customers.”
SBI Card other charges
Here are SBI Card fees and charges applicable across various services, including cash payments, cheque payments, card replacement, and late payments. Note that these transaction charges have not been revised recently.
Cash payment fee
SBI Card charges Rs 250 as the cash payment fee.
Payment dishonour fee
If your payment has been dishonored, SBI Card charges a dishonor fee of 2% of the payment amount, subject to a minimum of Rs 500.
Cheque payment fee
SBI Card levies Rs 200 as the cheque payment fee.
Cash advance fees
Cash advance fee at SBI ATMs and other domestic ATMs is 2.5% of the transaction amount, which is subject to a minimum of Rs 500. At international ATMs, the cash advance fee is 2.5% of the transaction amount, which is subject to a minimum of Rs 500.
Card replacement fee
The card replacement fee ranges from Rs 100 to Rs 250, while for Aurum cards, the fee is Rs 1,500. In case of an emergency card replacement while abroad, the actual cost will be charged, subject to a minimum of $175 for Visa and $148 for Mastercard.SBI Card late payment charges if Minimum Amount Due (MAD) is not paid by the payment due date
Rs 0 – Rs 500: Nil> Rs 1,000 – Rs 10,000: Rs 750
> Rs 10,000 – Rs 25,000: Rs 950
> Rs 25,000 – Rs 50,000: Rs 1,100
> Rs 50,000: Rs 1,300
Additional late payment charge
An additional fee of Rs 100 will be levied if the Minimum Amount Due (MAD) is not paid by the due date for two consecutive billing cycles.
