New ICICI Bank debit card rules: Airport lounge access rules for these 19 debit cards revised

ICICI Bank has significantly revised the airport lounge access rules on certain debit cards. If you spend Rs. 10,000 in the preceding calendar quarter, you can receive two complimentary passes to airport lounges beginning on October 1, 2024, according to the ICICI Bank website.
Access for the upcoming calendar quarter will be granted based on the expenditures made in the previous quarter.

To be eligible for complimentary lounge access in Oct- Nov- Dec, 2024 quarter, you need to spend a minimum of Rs. 10,000 in the Jul-Aug-Sept, 2024 quarter and similarly for following quarters.

This updated criteria to avail complimentary domestic airport lounge access will be applicable for below cards:

For debit cards quarterly spends limit of Rs. 10,000, E-commerce, POS transactions will be considered; ATM transactions and cash withdrawals will not be considered.

For Old Debit cards’ spends limit criteria-lounge access, we had Rs. 3000 spends limit for Coral, Business Coral, Expressions, Business Expressions Debit cards.
Additionally, we also had Rs. 4000 spends limit for Rubyx, Expressions Coral, Business Expressions Coral debit cards.

Eligible cardholders need to present their valid, unexpired cards, and a valid air ticket or boarding pass for travel on the same or next day at the entrance of the participating Lounges to gain entry. An authorisation amount of Rs.2 shall be charged on each eligible card presented at the entrance to the Participating Lounge. It's important to note that the free access is generally limited to the cardholder, any accompanying guest(s) may incur charge(s). This program is provided by a third party and governed by such third party terms and conditions.
