Best slim bezel smartphones for different budgets

‘Thin bezel’ has become one of the big buzzwords of the year for smartphones.

Although the iPhone X sports no bezel screen, these Android smartphones with slim bezel displays are already available in the market.

MICROMAX CANVAS INFINITY Rs 9,999
This is the cheapest phone available in this category.

It has a large 6-inch display in an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Infinity screen has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels with slim bezels on the side.



Inside is a Snapdragon 425 quad core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 2,900mAh battery. It has a 13MP rear camera with a bokeh mode, as well as a 16MP front camera with a front LED.

OPPO F5 Rs 19,990

Oppo has eneterd the segment a little late, but the Oppo F5 delivers an impressive 6-inch screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, an aspect rationof 18:9 and slim bezels. Like Oppo phones introduced in the past, the F5 is also selfie focused and offers a 20MP front camera with AI for superior results. You also get a 16MP rear camera, an octa-core Helio P23 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 3,200mAh battery.

HONOR 9I Rs 17,999
Honor 9i also has a 6-inch IPS display in an 18:9 aspect ratio but offers a higher resolution screen at 2160 x 1080 pixels. This gives the screen a pixel density of 409 ppi, which delivers superior sharpness. The Honor 9i is also one of the only phones to offer a dual camera setup on the rear as well as on the front. Hardware includes octa core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 3,340mAh battery.

VIVO V7+ Rs 21,990
Vivo’s flagship offering comes with a 24MP front camera with an LED flash—the highest we have seen in a smartphone. It offers a 5.99-inch screen in an 18:9 aspect ratio but with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels—this gives it a pixel density of 269ppi. Inside is a Snapdragon 450 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 3,225mAh battery and a 16MP rear camera.

LG G6 Rs 32,000

This is one of the smartphones that started the trend of displays with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The LG G6 has a 5.7-inch screen with 2880 x 1440-pixel resolution, HDR 10 support, Dolby Vision support and an always-on display. The device is powered by Snapdragon 821, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 3,300mAh battery. On the rear is a dual 13MP camera set-up with OIS, while the front has a 5MP shooter.

XIAOMI MI MIX 2 Rs 35,999

Mix 2 is one of our favorite phones for its screen. It has a 5.99-inch screen with 2160x1080 pixels – what makes it stand out is that it is the only phone in India with sleek bezels on 3 sides – the top bezel doesn’t even have a notch for the camera or sensors. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and has a 3,400mAh battery. It comes with a 12MP camera with OIS and 5MP front camera.

SAMSUNG S8/S8+/NOTE 8 Rs 57,900 Onwards
