Air India-Vistara merger: 8 important dates, deadlines Club Vistara accountholders should know

All Vistara-operated flights scheduled for travel on or after November 12, 2024, will be booked through the Air India website due to the ongoing merger of Vistara and Air India. Vistara's fleet will officially integrate with Air India on that date.

According to an email sent by Vistara to Club Vistara members, here are eight important dates one should know.

After 12 November 2024, your CV Points, Tier Points and Vouchers (if any) in your Club Vistara account will be transferred to your linked Flying Returns account. These transferred points and vouchers will only reflect once the migration process is complete.

For a seamless transfer, effective 15 October 2024, we shall be freezing your profile details. Henceforth, you will not be able to make any changes to the profile details in your Club Vistara account. Therefore, we would want to encourage you to make any required changes to your profile details before 15 October 2024.

The validity for your CV Points that were or will be expired in September and October 2024 will be extended. All your CV Points, including the 'Extended CV Points' be transferred to your Flying Returns account on migration and will remain valid for at least one year from the date of migration, regardless of their original expiration date, with the ability for redemption on a wider network with Air India.

Complimentary Ticket Vouchers issued by you or auto-generated under "On-demand Voucher Generation" with validity beyond 11 November 2024 will be further extended for a period of 3 months.

Vouchers available under the "On-demand Voucher Generation" feature that are not issued by 11 November 2024 will be automatically issued to the Flying Returns account with a fixed validity of 9 months.

Up until 25 October 2024, you will still have the option to Buy CV Points and Extend Voucher Validity. Post that these features will no longer be available for your Club Vistara account.

Starting from 1 November 2024, your Tier Status will be extended until 30 November 2025, with no downgrades or renewals during this period. When your Club Vistara account merges with your Flying Returns account, your final Tier Status will be based on the combined Tier Points and flights from both accounts. The system will automatically check if you are eligible for a higher tier, and rest assured, your final status will be the higher of the two or upgraded based on the combined points and flights.

Post 11 November 2024, you will not be able to earn and redeem CV Points on Vistara. Post the migration, you can redeem your Points on Air India once these are migrated to your Flying Returns account.
