Aadhaar-PAN linking: What income tax department says
"All PAN holders, who do not come under the exempt category as per notification no. 37/2017, dated 11th May 2017, and have not linked their PAN with Aadhaar yet, are requested to do so immediately," the Income Tax Department tweeted on January 17, 2023.

"Failure to do so will lead to the unlinked PAN becoming inoperative. Don't delay, link it today. Last date 31/03/2023," the income tax department said.

You will not be able to use your PAN card if it becomes inoperative. The deadline to link PAN with Aadhaar has been extended several times in the past. The latest deadline for PAN-Aadhaar linking is March 31, 2023.

Now link your Aadhaar and PAN with a fee
If you still have not linked your PAN with your Aadhaar, you can go to www.incometax.gov.in and link the documents by paying a fee of Rs 1,000. Do remember the last of linking a PAN and Aadhaar will be March 31, 2023.
