Akshaya Tritiya legend
A legend surrounding Akshaya Tritiya has Draupadi, Lord Shri Krishna, and the wise man Durvasa. According to legend, the noble Pandavas was hungry during their exile and their wife Draupadi was distressed by the lack of food for their customary hospitality to their countless pious guests.

The oldest of the five Pandavas, Yudishtira, made a sacrifice to Lord Surya, who then handed him a bowl that would be filled till Draupadi had her meals. For Draupadi, the wife of the five Pandavas, God Krishna made this bowl invincible during the arrival of the sage Durvasa so that it would constantly be filled with food of their choosing and could, if necessary, satisfy the entire universe. This magical bowl is known as Akshaya Patram.
