What is form 10D in EPF account: How to apply for monthly pension using form 10D online?
Members of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) can complete Form 10D to apply for a monthly pension. The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) supplies this form, which should be completed by the primary claimant, such as a member, widow/widower, orphan, nominee, etc. It is necessary to submit Form 10 D in order to claim a monthly pension under EPS 95.

All required paperwork must be submitted accurately to prevent any delays. To access Form 10 D online, qualified individuals need to make sure there is an e-nomination, that their account is KYC compliant, and that the Universal account number (UAN) contains the correct information.




Type of Pension claimed- Indicate any one of the following
a) Superannuation pension: By member on attaining 58 years age, whether in service or not
b) Reduced Pension By member after the age of 50 years but below 58 years and having left service
c) Disablement pension: By member on leaving service on account of total and permanent disablement.
d) Widow & children pension: By family (spouse and children) on death of the Member.
e) Orphan pension: By surviving son/daughter (of age up to 25 years as on date of death of member/spouse whichever is later) on the death or remarriage of the deceased member.
f) Nominee pension: By nominee declared by the Member through his/her Form 2(R) in case the member had no family (Spouse and children).
g) Dependent parent: By the dependent father and mother of the deceased member who died without a family (spouse and children) and failed to nominate a person for pension.

Who can claim the EPF pension

The applicant has to mention any one of the following in this field:
  • Member
  • Widow/Widower
  • Major/Orphan
  • Guardian
  • Nominee
  • Dependent Parent

EPF members: List of documents to be enclosed with form 10D

All family members birth certificate, Aadhaar, 3 attested passport size photos of spouses together submit. Bank passbook along with cheque with member name printed should get it attested for offline submission along with other documents.

EPF: How to apply for pension in form 10D online

Step 1: Visit www.epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: Under services, click for Employees
Step 3: Scroll below and click online service
Step 4: Login to Unified memember e seva portal by entering UAN and password
Step 5: Click on ‘online service’ and click on Form 10 D from the options.
Step 6: Verify your bank account
Step 7: Tick the box for accepting Terms and conditions.
Step 8: Proceed for online claim
Step 9: Verify details of family members details such as name
Step 10: Click on choose file to upload the passbook with your name printed
Step 11: Check uploaded details and click on get OTP on your Aadhaar registered number.
Step 12: Enter OTP received to submit the form.
