UPI-RuPay credit card: Who can use it, how to add your card, transact, and more

Several banks and applications have allowed users to link their RuPay credit cards to Unified Payments Interface (UPI). If you are wondering how to use your RuPay credit card for paying through UPI, here's your cheat sheet

At present, five banks — Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, HDFC Bank, and Canara Bank are live with the RuPay credit card on the UPI feature.

Currently, customers can link their RuPay credit card on UPI on BHIM, MobiKwik, and Paytm applications.

Go to any of the applications that allow using a RuPay credit card on UPI. You have to select a credit card from the payment option. Then, you can select your issuing bank. Do note that your mobile number should be linked with the bank to use the RuPay credit card on UPI. In the next step, masked credit cards will appear on the screen. Then, select the card which you want to link with your UPI and confirm. Then, you can proceed to generate UPI PIN.

You have to select the credit card from the linked credit card accounts. Then, select the set UPI PIN option from the dropdown. Enter the last six digits of your RuPay credit card number, enter the expiry date, and follow the steps to complete the journey, said National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
