What is the time period within which I can lodge my complaint?
As per the recently amended Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), customers can now make their complaints related to spam and other unsolicited commercial communication (UCC) within 7 days of receiving such calls. Earlier, this time limit was set to 3 days.

How long do my access providers have to take action against unregistered senders?
Previously, access service providers like BSNL, Airtel, etc., had 30 days to take action on your complaint. Now, this timeline has been reduced to just 5 days. This means your complaint related to spam, or UCCs will have to be resolved by your ASP within 5 days.

How will senders of spam or UCC be identified?
Before, it was necessary to have 10 complaints against a sender of spam and UCC in the last 7 days to trigger action against them. Now, this criterion has been reduced. A sender who has 5 complaints against them in the last 10 days will be subject to action.
