Swiggy HDFC Bank credit card customers to get instant discount on domestic, international flight, bus bookings made via Paytm Travel

With the festive season around the corner, Swiggy has announced a new travel benefit for its Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card customers, providing them with an instant 6% discount on domestic and international flight and bus bookings made via Paytm Travel.

Swiggy says the benefit will be exclusively available on Paytm Travel and applies across both flights and intercity bus journeys.

On the introduction of the new benefit, Anurag Panganamamula, Vice President - Growth, Swiggy Ltd., said, “Urban Indians are spending more on travel, one of the fastest-growing lifestyle categories. Our Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card has been loved for the rewards it offers on everyday indulgences, and extending these benefits to travel makes it even more rewarding. The offer is live for all existing and new cardholders, just in time for the holiday season.”

The new benefit adds to the existing benefits, including cashback on spends both on and off the Swiggy platform, says Swiggy in a statement. As per HDFC Bank's website, some of the benefits of the Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card are-

• 10% cashback on the Swiggy application (food ordering, Instamart, Dineout & Genie).
• 5% cashback on online spends across online MCCs
• 1% cashback on other categories
• Complimentary Swiggy One Membership for 3 months on card activation
• A cardholder is eligible for welcome benefit on card activation
• Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card rewards' annual value

Swiggy said that the card's rewards translate to an annual savings of Rs 42,000. The card also includes a free Swiggy One membership for 12 months. The company said that select users can avail exclusive offers for a limited period on either a lifetime free card or a first-year free card. The card also provides savings across online shopping, food, and now travel.

Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card charges

As per HDFC Bank's website, the card's joining fee/renewal membership fee is Rs 500/- + applicable charges

The renewal fee is waived off on spends of Rs 2,00,000 or more in a year if the cardholder has renewed the card before the renewal date.

The bank says that exclusions for spends of Rs 2,00,000 and above for the eligibility of the renewal year fee waiver are as follows:

• Cash on call
• Balance transfer
• Cash withdrawal

Swiggy HDFC Bank Credit Card eligibility

As per the HDFC Bank website, the eligibility criteria for a salaried Indian national to get the card is-

• Age: Mininum 21 years & maximum 60 Years
• Net Monthly Income > Rs 15,000
• For self-employed Indian national
• Age: Min 21 years & max 65 years
• ITR > Rs 6 lakhs per annum
