SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26: Know how to apply, loan amount and selection process

The eligibility for the scholarship is as below:
Applicants must be Indian nationals
Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year
Family income for school students should be Rs 3 lakhs or less
Family income for college students should be Rs 6 lakhs or less
Basically, this scholarship is open to students from Classes 9 to 12 and those pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the top 300 NIRF universities/colleges, IITs, or MBA/PGDM courses from IIMs. If you wish to get this scholarship to study abroad, you must be enrolled in a Top 200 university in the QS or THE World Rankings (2024–25)

Follow these simple steps to apply for the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26.

Step 2: Click the 'Apply Now' button below to start your scholarship application journey.
Step 3: Log in with your registered ID and land on the ‘Application Form Page’.
Step 4: You will now be redirected to the ‘SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26’ application form page.
Step 5: Click on the 'Start Application' button to begin the application process.
Step 6: Fill in the required details in the online application form with accurate information.
Step 7: Upload all relevant documents as specified in the documents required section.
Step 8: Accept the 'Terms and Conditions' and click on 'Preview' to review your application.
If all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen, click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application process. Applications open today, i.e. September 19, and close on November 15, 2025.

The scholarship covers students from Class 9 onwards up to Postgraduate programs, offering financial assistance ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20 lakhs per year till the completion of the course in which the scholar has been selected.
Dedicated categories have been designed to support:
School students (Class 9–12), where the scholarship amount will be up to Rs 15,000
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students at NIRF top 300 or NAAC A-rated. For undergraduate courses, the scholarship amount can extend to Rs 75,000, and for post-graduation courses, the scholarship amount can be up to Rs 2.5 lakhs.
Scholars at IITs and IIMs (Up to Rs 2 lakh for IITs, Rs 5 lakh for IIMs)
Students pursuing medical courses (Up to Rs 4.5 lakhs)
Students aspiring to study abroad (Up to Rs 20 lakhs)

No, having an SBI bank account is not mandatory to apply for the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship. The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26 is granted based on academic merit and financial background through a multi-stage process. Applications will be initially shortlisted based on their academic performance and financial background. Post this, telephonic interviews with shortlisted candidates will be conducted, followed by document verification for final selection.
