Services that cost Rs 50 have been increased to cost Rs 75, while those cost Rs 100 will be charged at Rs 125. A charge of Rs 75 for services has been increased to Rs 90, while services available after paying Rs 125 will cost Rs 150 in the second phase, which starts on October 1, 2028.
Revised UIDAI biometric charges
If one wants to update enrolled biometrics such as fingerprint, iris and photo, these charges will be applicable-If done once from the age of 5 to 7, it will be free of cost. Similarly, if an update is done once by a teen of 15 to 17 years of age, it will also be free. In all other cases, a fee of Rs 125 will apply. However, to encourage timely updates, this charge has been waived off for children aged 7 to 15 years until September 30, 2026.
The UIDAI, in an Office Memorandum dated September 29, 2025, stated: “The Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) service is free of cost to the children in the age groups of 5-7 years and 15-17 years. ln order to reduce the MBU pendency in the mission mode, the Authority has decided to waive off the charges to be collected from the Aadhaar number holders for carrying out MBU-l in the age group of 7-15 years for a period of one year, till September 30, 2026.”
Demographic update charges
This type of update is done to enrol the name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile number or email address, or any combination of the same. Under the revised charges, if done at the same time with biometric update, it will be free. However, if it is done separately, a fee of Rs 75 will apply, up from the earlier charge of Rs 50.
Document update charges
Document update refers to the submission of documents as proof of identity and address, in support of the name, gender, date of birth, and address as enrolled. If you do it through the myAadhaar portal (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/du), the service is free June 14, 2026. However, if the update is done at an Aadhaar enrolment centre, a fee of Rs 75 will apply, up from the earlier charge of Rs 50.Aadhaar service charges: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2028

Home enrolment service charges
The fee for availing Aadhaar home enrolment services has been set at Rs 700 (inclusive of GST). This amount is in addition to the regular charges applicable for demographic or biometric updates.
