Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) is a central government scheme which provides income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments to all landholding farmers' families in the country to supplement their income.
Farmers who have completed their eKYC, had their bank accounts seeded with the Aadhaar card (UID card), and had their land records registered in the PM Kisan portal are eligible to receive the benefits of the PM Kisan scheme.

When will eligible farmers receive the 24th instalment of the PM Kisan scheme?

The PM Kisan scheme’s 24th instalment is likely to be credited in October 2026. Instalments are usually released every four months. The value of the PM Kisan instalment will be Rs 2,000. The last instalment was released on June 20, 2026.


How to check the PM Kisan beneficiary status

Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan website.
Step 2: Access the beneficiary status page.
Step 3: Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’.
Step 4: Enter your aadhaar number or the account number.
Step 5: Click on ‘Get Data’
Step 6: View beneficiary status
Step 7: Check for payment status
Your beneficiary status will be shown on the screen when the system processes.

eKYC has been made mandatory to ensure the benefit of the PM Kisan scheme reaches the intended beneficiaries in their Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts without the involvement of any middlemen.
How to complete e-KYC for PM Kisan scheme through face-authentication
A farmer can also complete their eKYC through their mobile handset.
This is the easiest and hassle-free way of completing the eKYC process. Here’s how you can do it:

Step 2: Open the app and login through your PM Kisan-registered mobile number
Step 3: Land on the beneficiary status page
Step 4: If the eKYC status shows ‘No’, click on eKYC, enter your Aadhaar number and give your consent to scan your face.

Modes of eKYC for PM Kisan

There are following three modes of eKYC available to the beneficiaries of the PM Kisan scheme:

(i) OTP-based e-KYC (available on the PM-Kisan portal and the mobile app)
(ii) Biometric-based e-KYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra (SSKs))
(iii) Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on the PM Kisan mobile app which is used by millions of farmers)

Which farmers may not receive PM Kisan benefits?

The government has identified certain suspected cases that may fall under the exclusion criteria outlined in PM-Kisan scheme guidelines. These include, for example:
(i) Farmers who acquired land ownership after February 1, 2019
(ii) Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and a minor, etc.)
The benefits for such cases have been temporarily withheld till physical verification is completed.
Farmers are requested to check their eligibility status through the Know Your Status (KYS) on the PM Kisan website/ mobile app or the Kisan eMitra chatbot for further details.
