PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 19th instalment: Here's how to update mobile number linked to PM Kisan

Many beneficiaries are waiting for the release of the 19th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rs 6,000 is deposited annually in three equal instalments in farmers' Aadhaar seeded bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

Introduced in February 2019, PM KISAN Yojana aims to supplement the financial requirements of land-holding farmers across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 18th instalment of the PM KisanYojana for beneficiaries on October 5, 2024.



Here are a few steps on how farmers can update their PM Kisan-linked mobile number on PM Kisan portal:

Step 1: Visit PM Kisan website
Step 2: Click on ‘update mobile number’ option
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar number or registration number and captcha code.
Step 4: Click on search option and edit option
Step 5: Update by entering your mobile number

Is eKYC mandatory for PM Kisan beneficiaries?

According to the PM Kisan website, “eKYC is mandatory for PM Kisan registered farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PM KISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC.”

To complete OTP-based eKYC, farmers are required to have an Aadhaar-linked active mobile number. For this follow the given steps:
i. Visit the PM-KISAN portal (https://pmkisan.gov.in/)
ii. Click on e-KYC (on the top right corner of the website)
iii. Enter your Aadhaar number and complete your eKYC after submitting your OTP

Once eKYC is done, it will reflect in the beneficiary status on the PM Kisan website after 24 hours. Farmers can also access their status from the KYC module on the PM-KISAN portal and Kisan-eMitra (PM-KISAN AI chatbot).

When will PM Kisan Samman Nidhi's 19th instalment be released?
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana instalments are disbursed 3 times in every four months each year. So, we can expect the 19th instalment to be distributed around February 2025.
The government will notify the same on the PM Kisan website closer to the date of release of the 19th instalment.
