PM Kisan 21st instalment released for farmers
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday (September 26, 2025) released the 21st instalment of PM-Kisan for farmers in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The early disbursal of the instalment amount has been done in the wake of recent floods and landslides in these three states.
The government said that more than Rs 540 crore has been transferred to more than 27 farmers in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Which states have received the PM-Kisan 21st instalment?

This instalment has been specially transferred to the accounts of the farmers of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand as these states saw severe floods and landslides.

Over 27 lakh farmers, including approximately 2.7 lakh women farmers, have received direct bank transfers totalling more than Rs 540 crore across the three states, the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare said in a statement.

During the event, Shivraj Singh Chouhan highlighted that the instalment of Rs 2,000 will help farmers meet immediate household needs, procure seeds and fertilizers for the next sowing cycle, and restore their confidence to resume cultivation.

What is PM Kisan?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme offers financial support of Rs.6,000 per year to eligible farmers in three equal installments of Rs.2,000. Each instalment is credited directly to the beneficiary account once in every four months.

Eligibility for PM-Kisan scheme

To receive the instalment under the PM-Kisan scheme, a farmer must meet certain eligibility criteria. The applicant must be an Indian citizen and own cultivable land with valid land records. Additionally, the farmer must link their Aadhaar number to their bank account and complete eKYC verification to ensure timely disbursal of the benefit. Farmers who are income tax payers, pensioners, or employed in government/public sector jobs are not eligible for the scheme.

Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan Website.
Step 2: Access the Beneficiary Status Page.

Step 3: Click on "Beneficiary Status"
Step 4: Enter your Aadhaar Number or Account Number.
Step 5: Click on "Get Data"
Step 6: View Beneficiary Status.

Your beneficiary status will be shown on the screen when the system processes
