The rollout is now accessible to all Paytm UPI users, according to a press release by the company.
Earlier, the download format was available only in PDF, this new addition offers users greater flexibility in tracking and managing their finances.

The UPI statement download feature is available under the 'Balance & History' section of the Paytm app. Paytm UPI users who have linked their bank accounts and have Paytm UPI handles with Axis Bank (@ptaxis), Yes Bank (@ptyes), State Bank of India (@ptsbi), or HDFC Bank (@pthdfc) can easily select their preferred date range and download statements in a few clicks, streamlining financial tracking and analysis.With the new feature, Paytm UPI users can now download detailed transaction statements for specific date ranges or entire financial years in both PDF and Excel formats. This self-service tool is designed to offer convenience and control, helping users streamline their financial records. The inclusion of ‘notes’ added during transactions and ‘tags’ assigned afterward further simplifies reconciliation and financial analysis.
Many UPI apps allow users to add notes while making payments. Reviewing these notes helps recall the purpose of the transaction.
This functionality has been particularly well-received by Chartered Accountants, as the detailed transaction narration aids in effortless bookkeeping, while users leveraging AI tools can gain personalized spending insights for better financial decisions.

Here are the steps to download UPI statement in Excel formatStep 1: Open the Paytm App and go to the ‘Balance & History’ section
Step 2: Tap on ‘Download UPI Statement’ under payment history
Step 3: Select the desired date range for your statement.
Step 4: Choose ‘Excel’ as the format and tap ‘Download’ to save and access your statement
