May 13 and May 14 are bank holidays in these states

Here is a look at the states in which banks will be closed on May 13 and May 14.

Banks in few states will be closed on May 13 on account of Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (Shawal-1). These include Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and Maharashtra. In many other states it will be a bank holiday on May 14 (i.e., Friday) due to Bhagvan Shree Parshuram Jayanti/Ramjan-Eid (Eid-UI-Fitra)/Basava Jayanti/Akshaya Tritiya. These states include Gujarat, Karnataka, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and more.

The month of May has a few bank holidays. These were May 1 on account of Maharashtra Din/May Day (Labour Day), Id-Ul-Fitr on May 13 and May 14, and May 26 on account of Buddha Pournima.

Apart from these days, banks will also be closed on second and fourth Saturdays and on Sundays.
