LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship scheme 2025 to close soon; Know how it works and last date to apply

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced a new scholarship scheme called Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2025 for students from economically weaker families, which will close for registration soon. The scholarship is to be awarded for students studying in India in a government or private college or university.

Scholarships will be awarded for the whole duration of the course, excluding internship or stipendiary periods, under general scholarships, and for two years under special girl scholars, subject to the candidate meeting the necessary eligibility requirements for renewal.

The scholarship amount will be paid to the selected scholar's bank account via NEFT. If the candidate is selected for the scholarship, the bank account details and IFSC code, and a copy of the cancelled cheque with the beneficiary's name, are required.The last date to apply is October 6, 2025.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2025: Scholarship amount in medicine
An amount of Rs 40,000 per annum will be awarded to the selected scholar who pursues higher education in the field of Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS) and shall be payable every year in two instalments Rs 20,000 each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

An amount of Rs 30,000 per annum, will be awarded to the selected scholar who pursues higher education in the field of engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch) and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs 15,000 each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

An amount of Rs 20,000 per annum will be awarded to the selected scholars who pursue education in the field of Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs 10,000 each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

An amount of Rs 15,000 per annum will be awarded to selected Girl Child for Special Scholarship after class 10th for pursuing higher studies in Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for two years and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs 7500 each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
