Jeevan Pramaan Patra submission for NRI pensioners
It is necessary for every central government pensioner or family pensioner to submit their Jeevan Pramaan Patra (life certificate) to continue receiving their pension amount. Such a submission of the life certificate is regardless whether the pensioner or the family pensioner resides in India or abroad.
A life certificate can be submitted offline and online. While in the online method, pensioners can submit the certificate by filling in their information online and getting their Aadhaar card authentication done on the official Jeevan Pramaan website or the app, in offline mode, a pensioner needs to physically appear before the life certificate submitting authority. However for NRIs living abroad, the offline method can be cumbersome as they may not be in India near the certificate submission deadline, or, their health may not allow them to travel to India and appear physically before the authority. What options do such NRIs have to submit their life certificate without travelling to India?
