Is May 3 a bank holiday for Eid, Akshaya Tritiya?

On May 3 (Tuesday), most banks around the country will be closed. Customers should take note of this and make a point of looking for alternatives to complete any financial transactions.

Banks will be closed in most regions of the country on May 3 (Tuesday). Bank customers should note and make sure to look for alternatives to finish any financial transactions.

Indians will celebrate Bhagvan Shree Parshuram Jayanti, Ramjan-Eid or Eid-UI-Fitra, Basava Jayanti, Akshaya Tritiya, Rabindra Jayanti, and Buddha Purnima on May 3, 2022.
According to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will be closed in mentioned states across the country.


Except for Kerala, banks across all states will be closed on May 3, 2022. In Kerala banks will be closed on May 2, 2022.



In the month of May, both private and public sector banks will be closed on the above mentioned dates. Bank holidays also include the second Saturday and Sundays. Online banking, on the other hand, will be available throughout the country.
