According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar list, bank holidays are state-specific holidays for distinct occasions. While some holidays vary by state, all banks are closed on public holidays. Only the holidays designated by the government are observed by all banks across the country.
Private and public sector banks across the country will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, as well as every Sunday.
For the remaining month of July, banks in certain states will be closed for these festivals: Bhanu Jayanti, Beh Dienkhlam, Harela, Ker Puja.
