How to verify Aadhaar in two simple steps

Aadhaar is a 12-digit identification number issued by the UIDAI to all Indian citizens. The Aadhaar statutory entity is the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), which is run by the Indian government. You can use your verified Aadhar card to file taxes, apply for a PAN card, and perform any other financial transactions.

How to verify an Aadhaar
Step 1: Visit Uidai website https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Under My Aadhaar, click on ‘ Verify an Aadhaar number’ from Aadhaar services. Or click the direct link- https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/verifyAadhaar
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar number you want to verify along with ‘Captcha’ code.
Step 4: Click on ‘Proceed and Verify Aadhaar’
The next page will display ‘Aadhaar Verification Completed’ along with details such as age band, gender, state and last three-digit mobile number.

If, despite multiple efforts, you are unable to verify your Aadhaar number, the website will display that your Aadhaar number does not exist. In that case, you will need to submit your supporting documents to the nearest enrolment centre. It's possible that your biometrics will be re-verified and added into the UIDAI database. It would cost you Rs 25 plus 18% GST to update your biometrics and information in the Aadhaar database.
