How to update KYC online, offline in FASTag; how to check KYC status in FASTag wallet

FASTag customers must complete KYC, or Know Your Customer, to confirm their identity and guarantee safe transactions. When a car drives through a toll plaza, the electronic toll collection system FASTag immediately deducts toll charges using RFID technology.

Update the KYC for your FASTag Wallet via the new Video-KYC feature. Click on https://apply.hdfcbank.com/digital/fastag#login

1) Enter your Mobile & PAN number & click on “Complete Full KYC” & follow the steps.

2) Documents Required for v-KYC: Original PAN & Aadhar Card.

For offline KYC requests, please visit the HDFC branch and provide a copy of the documents listed below if you are having trouble completing the online v-KYC process for your FASTag Wallet. All customer-submitted documents must be self-attested.

Your KYC will be updated in three working days from the date of submission. Note that offline KYC updates will be rejected, in case the first 8 digits of the Aadhar Number are not masked.

Minimum KYC wallets have a monthly loading and usage cap of Rs 10,000. These wallets are only good for 24 months; after that, they will be credit-frozen in accordance with regulations.

Full KYC wallets enjoy unrestricted usage (wallet balance should not exceed Rs 2 Lakh at any given time) and extended validity.

Step 1: Log in to HDFC Bank FASTag Portal.

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Profile’ section from the available options at the top of the screen.

Step 3: The KYC status will either be Min KYC or Full KYC.

If your wallet's KYC status is Min KYC, you can finish it during the 24-month validity period and keep using your FASTag without any service disruptions. Make sure you have PAN & Aadhaar details ready to complete your KYC.
