How to submit annual life certificate using doorstep banking service.
The Central Government has set up many options for submitting life certificates to make the process easier for pensioners. Those above the age of 80 can submit it between October 1 and November 30, 2024, while others can submit it between November 1 and November 30, 2024.

Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric-enabled digital service for pensioners. Pensioners of the central government, state government, or any other government organization can benefit from this facility.

Annual Life Certificate: What is the last date to submit Jeevan Pramaan


Pensioners must produce life certificates yearly once in November to authorised pension disbursing providers such as banks and post offices, after which their pension is credited to their account.

To avail of this DLC service, one should register for doorstep banking fill out the life certificate form along with the necessary details, and submit it through doorstep banking.


Jeevan Praman Patra: Registration for doorstep banking


According to the SBI website, “Requests for Doorstep Banking Services should be made only at the Home Branch till such time development at Contact Centre is completed.”

Pensioners may book the service through any channel i.e. DSB app/web portal/toll-free Numbers. DSB Agent will visit the doorstep of the customer and collect an online life certificate using the Jeevan Pramaan App.

How to register for doorstep banking

According to the SBI website, below are the steps for Doorstep banking
Step 1: Download the Doorstep Banking app from the app store for iOS and Play Store for Android
Step 2: Enter their mobile number to register themselves post successful download and installation of the app.
Step 3: OTP will be generated from the System and enter OTP in DSB App
Step 4: On confirmation, enter your name and email (optional) password (PIN) and accept the Terms and Conditions.

Step 5: Login into the app with a PIN to enter additional information.
Step 6: Select and add the address option and enter address details. Customers can add more than one address and store in the DSB App. Customers can add, edit, or delete addresses at any time.

Doorstep banking service charge
For financial, and non-financial services including submission of a life certificate, the bank charges Rs 70 plus GST. However, it may vary depending on the bank. Some banks offer limited free doorstep banking services for senior citizens.

PNB
According to the PNB website, “Submit Life Certificate for free through Doorstep Banking at DSB designated branches through PSB Alliance from 01.10.2024 to 31.12.2024 through PSB Alliance Call Centre - 9152220220 , DSB Mobile App (PSB Alliance) or Website (PSB Alliance).”

Canara Bank
Canara Bank customers can You can now submit your Life Certificate via video call from the comfort of your home. Simply schedule a time slot at your convenience and submit your life certificate with a secure and hassle-free process
  • Original PAN Card MUST be available to show during Video Call to the Bank Official.
  • Blank paper with Pen MUST be available during Video Call.
  • Mobile Number linked to Aadhaar MUST be available to receive E-KYC OTP.
Bank of India
Customer can get herself/ himself registered through either of 3 channels i.e. Mobile App/ Web Portal/ Call Centre. Once the agent arrives at Door Step of the Customer, he/she will proceed for document handover to DSB Agent only after the Service Code matches with the one available with the agent. Customer will have "Pay in Slip" duly filled/ completed and signed in all respect (containing details of instrument/s to be submitted).

IPPB
Submission of life certificate is available for IPPB and non-IPPB customers. To avail DLC service, a customer can contact the nearest post office or place a request for a doorstep visit by the postman/Grameen Dak Sevak. Department of Posts have also enabled scheduling of doorstep request through the Post Info app or through the website “ http://ccc.cept.gov.in/covid/request.aspx ” For every successful generation of DLC, a nominal fee of Rs. 70 (inclusive of GST/ CESS) will be charged.
There will be no doorstep charges levied for IPPB or non-IPPB customers for issuance of DLC.
