On the front side, there is a see through register where the number 2000 can be seen when held against light.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi infamously demonetised the Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes on November 8, 2017 and replaced them with Rs 2,000 and new Rs 500 notes. Even though the new currency notes come packed with security features, a year on, the number of fake notes in the system has increased.
