How to deactivate FASTag: SBI, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Airtel app

NETC FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly from the prepaid account linked to it. It is fixed on the windscreen of your vehicle, which enables you to drive through any toll plaza - so you don't have to stop for any cash transactions.

However, there may come a time when you need to cancel your FASTag for distinct reasons. Here are some common reasons why you might need to deactivate your FASTag:
*Vehicle sale or transfer
*Damaged or lost FASTag
*Vehicle scrapping
*Avoid multiple FASTag charges

You can deactivate your FASTag online through our FASTag customer portal. Here's how:
Step 1: Visit https://fastag.hdfcbank.com/CustomerPortal/Home.
Step 2: Login using your credentials.
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Service Request' option available in the sidebar.
Step 4: Select the 'Generate Service Request' option under the 'Service Request' menu.
Step 5: Choose 'Request type' as 'Closure Request' to deactivate your FASTag account with HDFC Bank.

Step 1: Open the FASTag section on your Airtel Thanks app
Step 2: Log in to your FASTag account
Step 3: Look for the deactivation button
Step 4: Select the FASTag account that you wish to deactivate
Step 5: Follow the on-screen instructions as they have been provided to deactivate your FASTag
Review the details of your FASTag account one last time before deleting them
Step 6: Confirm the request

Step 1: Visit the ICICI Bank FASTag portal.
Step 2: Log in with your credentials.
Step 3: Click on Close Account on the top banner.
Step 4: Enter your details, ID proof and account details.
Step 5: Submit to initiate the FASTag account closure process.

FASTag De-activation The Customer may at any point of time, request for closure of the Tag Account online by logging in to customer portal https://fastag.bank.sbi and submitting documents as required or by SBI policy/process prescribed in this regard from time to time. Thereafter, the balance amount (if any) remaining in the related Tag Account would be returned to the Customer in his/her bank account. In case of negative balance, the Tag holder need to settle all outstanding amount first and then closure of Tag will be processed. It will be assumed that Customer has peeled off the tag and destroyed it. Customer will be liable for any transaction occurred on tag till completion of surrender process of tag
