How to check Aadhaar enrolment status online?

If you have enrolled or applied for an Aadhaar card then you can check the status online or by sending an SMS. Do keep in mind that to check the Aadhaar enrolment status you need to have an Enrolment ID (EID) number.

According to UIDAI, when you apply for an update or new Aadhaar card, you will be given an Enrolment ID (or EID), which is a 14-digit number. The EID number can be found at the top of the acknowledgement slip you will get from the enrolment center or the UIDAI website.

Applying or enrolling for an Aadhaar for yourself or your family members has to be done at the Aadhaar Enrolment Centre and it cannot be done online.

How to check Aadhaar status online with Your Enrolment ID?
These are the steps you should follow as per the UIDAI website:
Step 1: Visit the direct link- https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar
Step 2: Enter your Enrolment ID or EID
Step 3: Enter Captcha verification
Step 4: Click on ‘Check Status’ tab
If you forget or lose your EID, you can retrieve it using your registered mobile number.

How to Retrieve Aadhaar EID number online?
Step 1: Visit website- https://resident.uidai.gov.in/lost-uideid
Step 2: Enter name, mobile number, and Email address
Step 3: Enter Captcha verification
Step 4: Click on Send OTP
Step 5: Once you receive click on Enter OTP

The Aadhaar number or Enrollment ID will be issued to your registered email address or cellphone number after verification.
