How to block a debit card: 4 ways to block, hotlist PNB debit card

In case of loss/theft of card, the cardholder should immediately block/hotlist the card to avoid any misuse for safety reasons. Punjab National Bank (PNB) customers can follow any of the following processes to block or hotlist their card. Note that debit card once hotlisted cannot be de-hotlisted.

Different ways to block/hotlist debit card

Punjab National Bank customers can block it by calling call center representative at 24 hours toll free helpline numbers 1800 1800, 1800 2021 or through paid helpline number 0120-2490000. IVRS module integrated with above toll free numbers. By sending SMS (HOTCard Number) e.g. HOT 5126520000000013 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number or by contacting any PNB branch.

How to block/hotlist debit card using PNB internet banking

Procedure of hotlisting of Debit Card through PNB Internet Banking
Step 1
Login in his/her retail IBS account using the credentials.
Step 2
Click on Value added Service then Select ATM/Debit Card Hotlisting.
Step 3
Select Account Number from drop down list to which the card required to be hotlisted is attached.
Step 4
Click on "Continue".
Step 5
Cards attached to the selected account will be displayed.
Step 6
Select appropriate card number. (In case, card number is not displayed, user can also enter card number manually in the space provided against label "Card Number").
Step 7
Enter IBS Transaction Password Click on "Submit".

Confirmation message of card being successfully hotlisted will appear immediately.

How to block/hotlist debit card using PNB One App

Procedure of hotlisting of Debit Card through PNB PNB One App.
Step 1
User may login into the PNB One App using login credentials
Step 2
Click on the Debit Card button, then in the next page click on Hotlist Debit Card.
Step 3
Select Account Number from drop down list to which the card required to be hotlisted is attached.
Step 4
Click on "Continue".
Step 5
Cards attached to the selected account will be displayed.
Step 6
Select appropriate card number.
Step 7
Enter Transaction Password Click on "Continue".
Confirmation message of card being successfully hotlisted will appear immediately.

How to block/hotlist debit card using PNB Whatsapp Banking

Procedure of hotlisting of Debit Card through Whatsapp Banking
Step 1
Send ‘Hi’ to 92640-92640.
Step2
Select “All Services”.
Step 3
Select “Debit Card Services”.
Step 4
Select “Disable/Block Debit Card”.
Step 5
Select Debit card number to disable (temporary block) or Block (permanent block/Hotlist).
Step 6
Select “Temporary block or Permanent block” option the option selected will be executed as per choice.
Step 7
Enter Transaction Password Click on "Continue".

Confirmation message of card being successfully hotlisted will appear immediately.
