The Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi has announced the public holidays in the National Capital Territory of Delhi during the year 2025. According to a circular dated November 13, 2024, by the General Administration Department, "In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. U-11030/2/73-UTL dated 28/06/1973, the Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to declare the holidays specified in the schedule below, to be Public Holidays in the National Capital Territory of Delhi during the year 2025."

Republic Day is observed on January 26, which falls on a Sunday. Holi will be celebrated on March 14, a Friday. Id-ul-Fitr is on March 31, a Monday.

Further, as per RBI Guidelines, April 1 is declared as a public holiday u/s 25 of the NI Act for the annual closing of bank accounts. Mahavir Jayanti is observed on April 10, a Thursday. Good Friday falls on April 18.
