Free Aadhaar updation deadlin extended again.
The government has extended the deadline for updating free Aadhaar details until June 14, 2024 from the current March 14 deadline.

According to the UIDAI post on social media X, “UIDAI extends free online document upload facility till 14th June 2024; to benefit millions of Aadhaar holders. This free service is available only on the myAadhaar portal. UIDAI has been encouraging people to keep documents updated in their Aadhaar.”

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identity number issued to Indian people based on biometric and demographic information. Aadhaar prevents duplicate numbers among residents by being unique and linked to a person's biometrics, as well as detecting fake and ghost identities that cause leaks. No resident may have a duplicate number since it is linked to their individual biometrics, which identify fraudulent and ghost identities.
