February is the shortest month of the year, and that naturally means fewer holidays compared to other months. As a result, the number of bank holidays in February is also relatively low. Bank holidays are limited state-specific or festival-related holidays depending on states. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues state-specific bank holidays month wise.

Banks also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month and all Sundays, as per RBI rules.
