Bank holidays in December 2020

Along with the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, banks will be closed on December 25 for Christmas. There are a few state-specific holidays as well in the month of December.

In December, other than the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, banks across the country will be shut on December 25 (Friday) for Christmas.

In a few states, banks will be closed for more days.

For instance, in Meghalaya banks will be shut for these days as well, December 12 for Pa-Togan Nengminza Sangma, December 18 for the death anniversary of U SoSo Tham/Losoong/Namsoong, December 24 for Christmas festival, and December 30 for U Kiang Nangbah.


In Goa December 3 banks will be closed for the Feast of St Francis Xavier and December 19 for Goa Liberation Day.

In Karnataka, banks will be closed on December 3 as well for Kanakadasa Jayanthi/Feast of St. Francis Xavier.
