According to a General Administration Department notification dated February 10, 2025, “ The Lt. Governor of National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to declare Wednesday, the 12th February, 2025 as a Holiday in all Government Offices, Autonomous Bodies & Public Undertakings, under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, on account of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. The Restricted Holiday on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti earlier declared vide Notification No.
F.53/689/GAD/CN/2024-25/2018-2064 dated 13/11/2024 stands cancelled."

Bank holiday in these states for Guru Ravi Das Jayanti
Banks are closed in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh on Feb 12 to honor the birthday of Guru Ravi Das. Ravidas or Raidas was an Indian mystic poet-saint of the Bhakti movement during the 15th to 16th century CE.
Banks closed for local elections
Banks in Aizwal will observe a holiday for local elections on February 12 to facilitate voting. Employees are often granted a public holiday to exercise their voting rights.
According to the General Administration Department notification dated January 23, 2025, “Under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the Governor of Mizoram declared the 12th February, 2025 (Wednesday) as Public Holiday for all Government Servants including employees under Central/State Public Undertakings, Educational Institutions and Banking Institutions within Aizawl Municipality and Lunglei Municipality in order to enable the electors to exercise their franchise in the forthcoming General Election to Local Councils, 2025.”
Banks will remain closed in the affected states, meaning in-person transactions such as cash withdrawals, deposits, and account-related services will not be available. Digital banking services, including UPI, internet banking, and mobile banking, will continue as usual.
