Digital banking

Most routine banking transactions can now be completed online, including checking account balances, transferring funds, paying bills, opening fixed or recurring deposits, updating basic details like email ID, requesting cheque books, managing debit cards, and downloading account statements. However, certain services still require a visit to the bank branch, such as updation of KYC with physical document verification, changing or linking a mobile number through biometric authentication, submitting forms for large cash deposits or withdrawals, closing accounts, updating nominee details, resolving issues related to frozen or dormant accounts, and handling matters involving inheritance, death claims, or account disputes.
