Axis Bank’s free cash transactions to reduce

The free cash transaction limit for Axis Bank’s domestic and NRI EASY ACCESS and equivalent accounts, KRISHI and SAHAJ savings accounts will be reduced.

Currently, Axis Bank customers can make the first four cash transactions free of charge or can transact up to Rs 1 lakh, whichever comes earlier. Under the revised structure, the free limit will cover the first three transactions or Rs 1 lakh, whichever comes first.

Axis Bank minimum balance penalty revised for savings accounts

The monthly service fee for not maintaining the required Average Monthly Balance (AMB) will continue to be calculated at 6% of the shortfall. However, the maximum charge will change for accounts in semi-urban and rural locations.

For domestic EASY ACCESS and equivalent Axis Bank accounts, the maximum fee is Rs 600 for metro/urban, Rs 300 for semi-urban and Rs 150 for rural branches. From December 1, customers at semi-urban and rural branches will also have to pay a fee of Rs 600 for the non-maintenance of the minimum balance.

For NRI EASY ACCESS and equivalent accounts, the maximum fee of Rs 300 for semi-urban and rural places will rise from Rs 300 to Rs 600 across all locations. The maximum charge for metro and urban accounts will remain Rs 600.

These charges do not apply to salaried customers.

Axis Bank EDGE REWARD points discontinued for select accounts

From December 1, the bank will discontinue its EDGE REWARD point programme for Burgundy, PRIORITY, PRESTIGE, PRIME NRI and EASY NRI accounts. These customers will no longer earn points under the existing EDGE REWARDS programme as specified in the revised structure.

Axis Bank to increase higher total relationship value requirement

Axis Bank customers holding domestic and NRI PRIME, PRESTIGE, PRIORITY, SAMPANN, ADVANTAGE, ARISE Women’s and Burgundy accounts will also see a rise in Total Relationship Value (TRV).

The existing TRV is 75% of the prescribed level. Under the revised structure, it will increase to 100%.

Axis Bank outward cheque return charge set to rise

The charge for an outward cheque return will increase for domestic and NRI account categories, including the EASY ACCESS and equivalent, ADVANTAGE, ARISE Women’s, SAMPANN, KRISHI, SAHAJ, TASC, PRIME, LIBERTY, PRESTIGE, PRIORITY and Burgundy accounts.

Under the existing structure, the first cheque return attracts a charge of Rs 50, while subsequent returns cost Rs 100 each. The revised charge will be Rs 200 per return.

Axis Bank deliverable return charge rises for select NRI accounts to rise by 10 times

For the NRI Burgundy, PRIORITY, PRESTIGE and PRIME accounts, the deliverable return charge will increase from Rs 50 to Rs 500 per return. This means an increase of Rs 450.

This is a substantial increase, so customers using these account categories should be aware of the revised fee schedule.
