Bank holidays on Christmas Eve

Banks will be closed in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya on the occasion of Christmas Eve on December 24, Tuesday, followed by Christmas holiday on December 25 (Wednesday) and Christmas celebration on December 26 (Thursday).

Other bank holidays in December 2024

Banks will be closed in Meghalaya on December 30 (Monday) to honour U Kiang Nangbah and banks will be closed in Mizoram and Sikkim on December 31 on the occasion of New Year’s Eve/Lossong/Namsoong.
There are three national holidays in 2024: Republic Day on 26th January, Independence Day on 15th August, and Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October. Regional bank holidays in India differ depending on the state. All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will observe public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays.
