Air India-Vistara merger: Last Vistara flight today; 7 major deadlines for credit cardholders, Club Vistara members, passengers

According to the merger FAQs page on the Air India website: Beginning 12 November 2024, here is what you can expect: Your Vistara flights stay the same: Your Vistara in-flight experience will remain unchanged on its fleet. You can easily identify these flights by their new code AI 2XXX. For example, UK 955, operating from Delhi to Mumbai, will transition to AI 2955.

Club Vistara will join with Flying Returns of Air India on November 12, 2024. The associated Flying Returns account will get all CV Points, Tier Points, following Tier Status, and any available Vouchers.

All CV Points scheduled to expire in September and October 2024 will be reissued as 'Compensatory CV Points' and sent to the Flying Returns account on or before November 12, 2024. These points will be valid for at least one year after migration, regardless of their original expiration date, and can be redeemed on Air India's larger network.

Complimentary Ticket Vouchers issued by members or auto-generated under "On-demand Voucher Generation" with validity beyond 11 November 2024 will be further extended for a period of 3 months.

Vouchers available under the "On-demand Voucher Generation" feature that are not issued by 11 November 2024 will be automatically issued to the Flying Returns account with a fixed validity of 9 months.

After 12 November 2024, Co-brand card holders will earn Flying Returns Points and Complimentary Ticket Vouchers in addition to the existing card benefits. You will also continue to enjoy your Tier status for a year from the date of merger.

As the program benefits will continue only until 31 March 2026, the annual card membership renewals, as applicable, will not be done after 31 March 2025, so that the features and benefits are continued for the whole 12-month annual period.

Please note that the last date for annual card membership renewal for the respective issuing partners may vary based on their internal policies but not later than 31 March 2025.
