Air India is offering a flat 10% discount on domestic base fares. Students travelling for college admissions, internships, campus placements or semester breaks can get a flat 10% discount on eligible domestic base fares under Air India’s limited-period offer. The offer is available on eligible one-way and round-trip bookings made until October 20, 2026.

How to get discount offer on Air India’s online platform:

Step 1: Enter your origin, destination and travel dates in the booking widget.

Step 2: Select “Student” from the “Concession Type” dropdown menu.

Step 3: Choose from the eligible student fares displayed for your journey.

Step 4: Review fare conditions and complete your booking.

Note that bookings must be made by October 20, 2026, to avail of the limited-period flat 10% discount.

How students can avail additional savings of up to Rs 1,000 on direct Air India ticket bookings

Students booking tickets through Air India’s website or mobile app can save more on eligible bookings. Those who log in to their accounts get a 50% discount on convenience fees. For eligible domestic bookings, passengers paying through the UPI can also get an additional discount of up to Rs 1,000 per passenger by applying the promo code UPIPROMO, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.

Who can avail student benefits under Air India’s flat discount scheme?

For domestic travel, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

A student to avail this benefit should be at least 12 years old on the date of travel. He/ she should be enrolled in a full-time course lasting at least one academic year. Also, the student must be studying at an eligible institution recognised, aided by or affiliated with a central or state government, educational board or university, or an accredited school, college or university.

Documents to carry to avail Air India’s flat discount scheme benefits

Students must carry valid supporting documents for verification at check-in. These may include a student identity card, an acceptance letter from their educational institution or a valid student visa, as applicable. However, failure to provide the required documentation may result in a misuse recovery amount and applicable taxes being charged.

Benefits available throughout the year in Air India student programme

Air India’s student programme gives eligible travellers up to 10% off domestic and international fares, an extra 10 kg of baggage allowance and one free date change on eligible bookings. These benefits remain available throughout the year, subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.
