8th Pay Commission website
The government of India has launched the official website (https://8cpc.gov.in/) of the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC), which was notified in November 2025 and has started functioning now. After the website’s launch early in February 2026, the 8th Pay Commission posted an 18-point questionnaire, asking central government employees, pensioners and other stakeholders to provide feedback on issues pertaining to wages, allowances and other rules.

The 8th Pay Commission website serves as the central information hub for updates, notifications, questionnaires, vacancy circulars and official communications related to the 8th CPC. The website includes vacancy circulars for various posts related to the functioning of the 8th Pay Commission. Most of the vacancies for many posts are on a deputation basis.

The 8th Central Pay Commission website solicits views, opinions and inputs for being better informed. These inputs are being sought in a structured manner through a questionnaire with 18 questions hosted on the MyGov.in web portal.

Who should provide feedback on 8th pay CPC?
Responses are invited from ministries, departments, state/UTs, employees of government, employees of Union Territories, judicial officers, officers/employees of courts, members of regulatory bodies, associations or Unions of serving or retired employees, pensioners, researchers, academicians and individuals. The last date for the submission of responses is Monday, March 16, 2026. All responses should be through the MyGov portal. Paper-based physical response, emails or pdf response are not being considered by the Commission.

Terms of reference of the 8th Pay Commission
In its Terms of Reference (ToR), the 8th Pay Commission says that its work is to examine and recommend changes that are desirable in the emoluments including pay, allowances and other facilities/ benefits, in cash or kind, having regard to rationalisation, contemporary functional requirements and the specialised needs of various departments, agencies and services in respect of following categories of employees: Central government employees — industrial and non-industrial;
(ii) Personnel belonging to All India Services;
(iii) Personnel belonging to Defence Forces;
(iv) Personnel of Union Territories;
(v) Officers and employees of Indian Audit and Accounts Department;
(vi) Members of the regulatory bodies (excluding the RBI) set up under the Acts of Parliament;
(vii) Officers and employees of the Supreme Court;
(viii) Officers and employees of High Courts whose expenditure is borne by the Union Territories; and
(ix) Judicial officers of the subordinate courts in the Union Territories
