8th Pay Commission memorandum deadline

The 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC) last month extended the deadline for submitting the memorandum to June 15, 2026. In a letter dated May 29, 2026, they announced that the last date for submitting the memorandum to the 8th Central Pay Commission has been extended to June 15. This gave employees, pensioner bodies and other stakeholders extra time to share their thoughts on issues like pay, pensions, allowances and working conditions. So, has the 8th CPC extended this deadline again, or are stakeholders now unable to submit their memorandums? Let’s find out!

Has the 8th Pay Commission extended the deadline further to submit memorandum?

No, the government hasn’t extended the deadline to submit the memorandum. In its May 29 letter, the 8th Pay Commission had clarified that no further deadline extension would be given.

But this time, the government has decided not to extend the deadline.

The June 15 deadline also applies for stakeholders from various states who have meetings lined up with 8th Pay Commission chairperson Ranjana Prakash Desai and other members this month and in July. The first of such meetings will be held in Lucknow from June 22-23.
