8th Pay Commission implementation date
When the government released the terms of reference of the 8th Pay Commission in November 2025, it gave the commission 18 months of time to submit its report. It means if the 8th CPC doesn’t take a deadline extension, it should submit its report by May 2027-end. However, after that, the report will go to a group of ministers for review. After that, the Cabinet will give its go-ahead to the report. The government will then notify the 8th CPC report. Review and approval processes may take another 3-6 months. However, the real implementation date will be known only when the government notifies the 8th Pay Commission report.
