8th CPC implementation date
The government is yet to announce the date from which recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented. Looking at past trends, recommendations of a new pay commission are implemented from the next day of the end of the term of the previous pay commission.
The term for the 7th Pay Commission ended on December 31, 2025, so it is highly likely that 8th Pay Commission recommendations will be implemented from January 1, 2026, i.e., it will be date from which employees and pensioners are expected to get arrears.
